"As someone that cares deeply about South Orange, I will be voting ‘yes’ on the water system referendum and ask that you join me. While the dollars and cents matter, I am basing my vote on the desire to secure an experienced, trustworthy company to run our water system. Speaking from my experience as a Village Trustee for nine years, the South Orange government does many things well and we should focus on those; and as for the challenging and complex issue of essential water infrastructure management, we would be better off relying on a focused and reliable organization such as New Jersey American Water. I applaud the work of the water utility staff and the analysis of the water utility task force, and we should honor their resounding recommendation to vote yes on November 5th."
